ÀúÀÚ µîÀº 1994³â 11¿ùºÎÅÍ 1995³â 9¿ù±îÁö ÇÏ¾Ç °úµÎ°ñÀý·Î Áø´Ü ¹ÞÀº 12¸íÀÇ È¯ÀÚ¿¡ ´ë
ÇÏ¿© Lag Screw¸¦ ÀÌ¿ëÇÏ¿© °üÇ÷Àû Á¤º¹ ¼ö¼úÀ» ½ÃÇàÇÑ ÈÄ, Æò±Õ ¾à 10°³¿ùÀÇ ÁÖ±âÀûÀÎ °Ë
Áø °á°ú ´ÙÀ½°ú °°Àº °á°ú¸¦ ¾ò¾ú´Ù.
1. ¼ú ÈÄ °³±¸·®Àº 1¸íÀ» Á¦¿ÜÇÑ ³ª¸ÓÁö¿¡¼­ ¸ðµÎ 40mmÀÌ»óÀÇ °á°ú¸¦ ¾ò¾ú´Ù.

ÀÌ¿Í °°Àº °á°ú·Î lag screw osteosynthesis´Â ¼±ÅÃµÈ ÇÏ¾Ç °úµÎ °ñÀý Áß Level ¥² ¶Ç´Â
¥³¿¡¼­ ºñ±³Àû ¸¸Á·ÇÒ¸¸ÇÑ °á°ú¸¦ º¸¿´´Ù.

Treatment of condylar fracture is still controversial, but the indication of surgical
management is increased due to improved fixation methods and surgical techniques. In
this article, we report our clinical and radiological results with the use of lag screw
osteosynthesis for fixation of fractured mandibular condyle. 12 cases of condyle fracture
treated by open reduction and fixation with lag screw were monitored for an average of
10 months (range from 6 months) postoperatively. The obtained results are as follows :
1. Postoperative maximum mouth opening is achieved over 40mm except one patient.
2. Although slight crepitus and deviation of mandible during mouth opening were found.
Temporomandibular joint problem is satisfactory in all but one patient.
3. Distal migration of screw and resorption of fractured fragment were found in each 2
patients, but good functional recovery was achieved in all.
According to the above results, we think that lag screw osteosythesis is relatively
indicated in level ¥²or ¥³ condylar fracture
